Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Nutrition Services Clerk to support patient diets and prepare meals for patients and staff. The role involves assisting with diet orders, updating Kardex, and ensuring accurate meal delivery.

The incumbent will collect patient preferences and allergies, maintain production sheets, and participate in tray assembly and kitchen cleanliness. A food handler's permit and HS diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Food handler's permit preferred or required by state regulations.
• At least 1 year of acute care Diet Clerk/Nutrition Services Clerk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distributes and collects menus, assists patients with diet orders, and processes menus.
• Updates kardex and documents nourishments as ordered.
• Talks with patients to record food preferences and allergies.
• Prepares and checks trays and ensures timely delivery.
• Assists with cleaning duties.
