Job summary

Selah House Indiana is seeking a Dietary Care Specialist to support dietary needs of clients and greet guests in a professional, welcoming manner. The role includes managing food orders, leading group sessions, and assisting with daily kitchen operations in a compassionate inpatient setting.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of food service experience. Per diem hours apply with weekend shift differential and opportunities for growth within clinical teams.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required plus 1+ year(s) in food service and preparation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to follow safety, sanitation, and health guidelines in food service.

Responsibilities

• Manage food orders and pickups for both locations to ensure timely supply.
• Lead weekly culinary sessions and assist with dietary needs and menus.
• Support kitchen operations when chef is unavailable and maintain stock levels.
• Ensure proper storage temperatures and daily checks of equipment.
• Assist in mentoring staff and coordinating morning and weekend meals.
• Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in all duties.
