Job summary

Northridge Rehabilitation & Care Center in North Ridgeville is seeking a Dietary Assistant to support the Dietary Department. You will perform routine tasks, dishwashing, food preparation, and tray service under the Dietary Manager's supervision.

The role requires a High School diploma (preferred) and prior institutional dietary service experience is a plus. Flexible hours, on-site work, and compliance with safety and infection-control procedures are expected.

Qualifications

• High School graduate preferred.
• Previous institutional dietary service experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards, and work assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Numerical ability for recipe preparation and measuring cleaning agents.
• Motor coordination and manual dexterity for food prep, serving, and cleaning.
• Able and willing to work flexible hours including emergencies.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting, and handling dietary supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment.
• Dishwashing, pot and pan washing, cleaning, trayline preparation and service.
• Follow established reporting procedures for supply or equipment needs.
• Report any damaged or unsafe equipment or fixtures to supervisor.
• Attend scheduled department staff meetings and in-service programs.
• Follow safety codes, infection control procedures and emergency plans.
