Job summary

Independence Community Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Dietary Aide General Purpose to support our kitchen operations. You will learn routine food service tasks, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain a clean, sanitary environment in the kitchen.

The role requires lifting, standing, and following recipes and procedures; a food handler certificate is required and training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Learn food service routines quickly and operate the dishwasher.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine.
• Prepare nourishments, snacks, and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize work surfaces, refrigerators and floors.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
