Job summary

King David Post Acute Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Dietary Aide/Server to join our team. You will assist with meal service, support kitchen operations, and ensure meals meet dietary guidelines and proper temperatures for residents.

The role requires attention to sanitation, ability to read and follow directions, and strong communication with residents and staff. Prior serving experience is desirable; English proficiency is required, with physical ability to lift and stand for extended

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in the healthcare or food service industry.
• Certification in food service is a plus.
• Proven experience in food service; customer service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Skilled in meal/snack preparation and operating kitchen appliances, cookware, and bakeware.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and follow written and oral directions in English.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Physically able to perform job duties, including: Standing, walking, bending, and twisting for extended periods.
• Lifting and carrying over 20 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling objects over 45 lbs. of horizontal force.
• Visual acuity for close-up tasks.
• Previous experience as a server is desirable.

Responsibilities

• The Dietary Aide ensures the sanitary and safe handling of food and equipment while assisting in meal preparation, service, and cleanup.
• Responsibilities include following dietary guidelines, serving food according to modified diets and mealtime schedules, and maintaining proper food temperatures.
• This role also supports kitchen operations by performing tasks such as dishwashing, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with meal service for residents, staff, and special events.
