Overview

At FutureCare, our Dietary Aides/Porters are an integral part of the Food & Hospitality Department, ensuring proper delivery of nutritional services to our residents. Under the direction of the Clinical Food Service Director, the Dietary Aide/Porter will follow proper care with food sanitation, handling, and safe serve policies set forth by the facility.

Compensation

• Competitive pay: $15.70 - $17.50/hr

Salary disclosure: The salary mentioned reflects the potential base pay range. Bonuses or incentives are offered separately and considerations include experience, qualifications, location, and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of hot and cold foods
• Serve and deliver food to residents as required
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas
• Properly store food, monitoring temperature and spoilage
• Transport/deliver food and beverages to residents
• Assist in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen
• Operate dishwasher machine
• Maintain sanitation by ensuring proper temperature, chemical supplies, and water levels

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Courteous and friendly demeanor
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Respectful and tactful interaction with residents and staff
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
