Overview
At FutureCare, our Dietary Aides/Porters are an integral part of the Food & Hospitality Department, ensuring proper delivery of nutritional services to our residents. Under the direction of the Clinical Food Service Director, the Dietary Aide/Porter will follow proper care with food sanitation, food handling, and safe serve policies set forth by the facility.

• Competitive Pay: $15.70 - 17.50/hr

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods
• Serve and deliver food to residents as required
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas
• Properly store food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
• Transport/deliver food/beverage items to residents
• Assist Lead Porter or other staff in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen
• Load/operate dishwasher machine
• Ensure proper sanitation by maintaining temperature, chemical supplies, and clean water levels

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Courteous and friendly demeanor
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or longer
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Respectful and tactful interaction with residents and staff
• Follow written and verbal instructions
