Job summary

Cherrydale Post Acute is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the dietary team in meal preparation and service while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. Your role ensures residents receive meals that meet their dietary needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s Certification.
• Healthcare or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to learn food service routines quickly.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and serve meal trays based on dietary guidelines.
• Assist with meal service and food preparation.
• Clear trays, wash dishes, and operate the dishwasher.
• Monitor and record dishwasher temperature and sanitation levels.
• Prepare snacks and nourishments for residents.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dining areas.
• Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and equipment.
• Store food and supplies safely and properly.
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout shift.
• Follow all food safety and infection control procedures.
• Support the cook and dietary supervisor as needed.
