Qualifications

• Food service experience is required.
• Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: One year hospital food services experience.

Responsabilités

• Maintains and communicates accurate diet order information to ensure patients receive appropriate meals.
• Gathers patient food preferences and notes any nutritional issues.
• Assists with menu selection and writes/adjusts regular or modified diets.
• Delivers and collects patient trays.
• Follows proper PPE and hygiene procedures.
• Stocks nursing unit pantries with nourishments and supplies using FIFO.
• Assembles trays accurately and prepares items per menu.
• Operates kitchen utensils to prepare and store foods.
• Assists in hot/cold food prep and proper storage.
• Maintains sanitation and temperature logs as required.
• Assist with setup, stocking, serving and delivery of food.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishware, equipment, and work areas.
• Removes trash and recyclables from work areas.
• Maintains positive team relationships and collaboration.
• May prepare specialized nutritional products for patients.
• May operate a cash register and handle payments.
