Job summary

Recover-Care in the United States is seeking a dietary aide to support meal preparation, service and cleanup for patients and staff at the nursing center and at special events. The role emphasizes teamwork with the food service director and adherence to center procedures.

You will prepare nourishments, portion desserts and salads, label items, and follow production sheets. Strong communication, basic sanitation knowledge, and prior food service or long-term care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
