Job summary

Recover-Care in Kansas is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to support meals for patients and staff. You will assist the cook, prepare nourishments, and portion foods according to center procedures.

We value good communication, basic sanitation, and reliability. Prior food service and long-term care experience are preferred, with a positive approach to teamwork and safety in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
