Job summary

WeCare Centers is seeking a Dietary Aide in Montoursville, PA to assist in meal preparation and service for residents. You will prepare, portion, and serve meals, maintain hygiene in kitchen areas, and help ensure meals meet dietary requirements while following sanitary regulations.

Requirements include at least 1 year of food service experience and strong reading/writing/communication skills. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package to support our caring team.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Minimum 1 year food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments per sanitary regulations and facility standards.
• Serves meals promptly, plated appealingly and at correct temperatures.
• Transports food from steam table or carts to resident areas.
• Accommodates residents' dietary likes/dislikes per tray tickets within diet guidelines.
• Ensures food supplies for next day production.
• Assists cooks as directed.
• Uses proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.

• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.

• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as the facility standards and procedures.

• Serves meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.

• Serves food from steam table and or transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.

• Honors residents food likes, dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.

• Ensures food supplies for the next day production is available.

• Assists cooks in preparing meals as directed.

• Uses proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.
