WeCare Centers at Avalon Care Center in New Castle, PA is actively seeking motivated Dietary Aides to assist in meal preparation and service for residents. The role involves preparing meals, ensuring proper temperatures, and delivering meals with care to residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year food service experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as the facility standards and procedures.
• Serve meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
• Serve food from steam table or transport food delivery carts to resident areas.
• Honor residents' food likes and dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
• Ensure food supplies for the next day production are available.
• Assist cooks in preparing meals as directed.
• Use proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.
