Job summary

WeCare Centers at Avalon Care Center in New Castle, PA is seeking motivated Dietary Aides to support meal preparation and service for residents. The role involves assisting kitchen operations before, during, and after meals to ensure quality and safety.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of food service experience and demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively while meeting health and competency requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet all health compliance and competency requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Minimum 1 year food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as the facility standards and procedures.
• Serves meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
• Serves food from steam table and or transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.
• Honors residents food likes, dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
• Ensures food supplies for the next day production is available.
• Assists cooks in preparing meals as directed.
• Uses proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.
