Job summary

WeCare Centers in Herkimer, NY is seeking motivated Dietary Aides to support our residents. You will assist in the kitchen before, during, and after meals, serving meals and ensuring proper temperatures and presentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year food service experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to meet health compliance and competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments per sanitary regulations and facility standards.
• Serves meals that are palatable and properly presented.
• Distributes meals from steam table or transport carts to resident areas.
• Accommodate residents' food likes and dietary restrictions per tray tickets.
• Ensure food supplies for next day production are available.
• Assist cooks in meal preparation as directed.
• Use proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.

WeCare Centers at Foltsbrook Care Center is actively seeking motivated Dietary Aides for our community in Herkimer, NY. Our Dietary Aides assist in the kitchen area prior to, during, and after meals are served to residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as the facility standards and procedures.
• Serves meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
• Serves food from steam table and or transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.
• Honors residents food likes, dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
• Ensures food supplies for the next day production is available.
• Assists cooks in preparing meals as directed.
• Uses proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.
