Responsibilities

• Handles and stores all food according to facility procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation as assigned by supervisor.
• Prepares food items according to standardized recipes and safe handling practices.
• Operates institutional food preparation equipment as directed.
• Assists with the set-up of the food tray line.
• Assembles diet trays for residents according to cards, matching foods and drinks.
• Delivers tray carts to dining areas and units; transports trays as needed.
• Cleans dishes and maintains dish machine per manufacturer directions.
• Assists with state inspection prep and reports equipment problems promptly.
