Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer one year experience as a food service aide in an institutional setting.

Responsibilities

• Handles and stores all food according to facility procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation as directed by supervisor.
• Prepares items according to recipes with safe handling.
• Operates institutional food preparation equipment as directed.
• Assembles diet trays matching foods to diet cards.
• Delivers trays to dining areas and units.
• Reports equipment problems to supervisor promptly.
• Maintains clean and safe workspaces and equipment.
• Assists with state inspection preparation with the Dietary Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
