Job summary

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a dietary aide to assist in food preparation and presentation for residents in Michigan. You will be part of an experienced team focused on compassionate care and high-quality meals.

Responsibilities include following safe food handling, assembling and delivering diet trays, and supporting dishwashing and cleanliness in the dining area. A high school diploma or GED is required, with bonus given for prior institutional food service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prefer one year of experience as a food service aide in an institutional setting.

Responsibilities

• Handles and stores all food according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation as assigned by supervisor.
• Prepares food items according to standardized recipes insuring safe food handling practices.
• Assists with the set-up of the food tray line.
• Assembles diet trays and delivers tray carts to dining areas or to units.
• Cleans dishes, utensils and equipment according to facility procedures.
• Assists in dishwashing operation and cleaning tasks.
