Job summary

Hill Valley Healthcare in Plainfield, Indiana is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents' dining experiences by preparing and serving meals with a focus on safety and sanitation.

You will assist the kitchen team, deliver meals, monitor inventory, and help maintain clean dining areas in a fast-paced environment while upholding high service standards and compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a dietary aide with customer service skills.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines for a hygienic environment.
• Ability to prepare meals per instructions using kitchen equipment.
• Friendly demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Able to stay physically fit and endure a fast-paced setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; food service certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables and dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under guidance of a dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver meals and trays to rooms and times as scheduled.
• Assist in post-meal cleanup by clearing dining areas and collecting items.
• Maintain hygiene by disposing of leftovers and taking out garbage.
• Keep food stations clean and wash dishes and utensils.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and maintain inventory.
• Contribute to upkeep of kitchen equipment and appliances.
