Pearl of St. Charles in Illinois is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the Dietary Department under the Dietary Manager. The role includes assisting in meal prep, serving trays, and maintaining clean dining areas.

Candidates should be High School graduates with prior institutional dietary service experience preferred, able to read recipes, follow diet orders, and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible hours are required for emergencies.

Formación

• High School graduate; prior institutional dietary service experience preferred.
• Able to read, follow recipe directions, diet orders and tray cards.
• Willing to perform routine tasks with interruptions.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; good manual dexterity for kitchen tasks.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including emergencies.

Responsabilidades

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils and equipment.
• Assist the cook in meal preparation and service.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow Federal and State long term care regulations and policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and maintain sanitation.
• Assist in arranging tray cards, loading carts and serving meals.
• Set up dining room and serve residents.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Report any damaged or unsafe equipment and supply needs.
• Understand fire and disaster plans and participate in drills.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and protect resident privacy.
• Ensure residents are treated with kindness, dignity and respect.
• Perform other department duties as assigned.
