Job summary

Port Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team. You will provide excellent service to Residents and employees while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dietary department.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, helping prepare meals, setting up trays, serving meals, and keeping the kitchen organized. Flexibility to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 facility is required.

• Set up meal trays according to residents' dietary needs.
• Assist with serving meals and loading food carts for delivery throughout the facility.
• Store food items properly and help keep the kitchen organized.
• Operate the dishwasher and help keep the dish room clean.
• Put away clean dishes, utensils, and supplies in their proper places.
• Dispose of trash and food waste following facility procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and sanitary at all times.
• Let your supervisor know about equipment problems, safety concerns, or supply needs.
• Report accidents or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Treat residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with kindness and respect.
• Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Assist with other dietary department duties as needed.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This position is part of a health care facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts, as well as holiday and work during inclement weather, will be required.
