Job summary

Elba Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service for patients, residents, and guests. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, good communication, and teamwork in a supportive setting.

No prior dietary experience is required as training is provided. The position offers full-time hours with 11am–7:30pm shifts, alternating weekends and holidays, in a dynamic care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0 years of experience in dietary services or a related field (training provided).
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with dietary software systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, including food preparation, plating, and delivery.
• Maintain a clean and safe food service environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and execute special events and meals.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, residents, and guests, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling patient information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or other supervisory staff.
