Job summary

Trellis Paradise is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service and kitchen operations. You will learn routines quickly, set up trays, assist with serving meals, and help keep the kitchen clean and sanitary.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a food handlers' certificate. You will work under the Cook and Dietary Supervisor and collaborate with dietary staff to ensure safe, efficient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Food handlers' certificate required or to be obtained.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Observe the water temperatures of dishwasher during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave the kitchen clean and sanitary and assist cooks or dietary supervisor as needed.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
