Job summary

WAVERLYHILLS is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in meal setup, dishwashing, food service, and kitchen cleanliness. The role requires learning food service routines, following recipes, and maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and obtain a food handler's certificate; ability to work with all dietary staff is essential for smooth service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Observe the water temperatures of dishwasher during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave the kitchen in a clean and sanitary manner and assist when called upon by cook or dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and on-going training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
