Job summary

PACS in Minnesota is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service in a health care setting. You will learn the food service routine quickly, assemble meal trays, assist with serving, and help keep the kitchen clean and sanitary.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and obtain a food handlers’ certificate. The role requires basic reading of procedures and recipes, attention to safety, and the ability to work with kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Observe dishwashing temperatures and operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and maintain floors.
• Carry out trash and garbage and store groceries safely.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
