Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service and maintain sanitary kitchen operations. The role involves learning the food service routine, setting up meal trays, washing dishes, serving meals, and assisting with overall kitchen cleanliness.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to read procedures and follow recipes. Food handler certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Observe water temperatures of the dishwasher during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Store groceries safely.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
• Assist with training dietary staff.
• Collaborate with other departments.
