Job summary

PACS Group in Nashville is seeking a Dietary Aide to support food service operations on the shift. You will set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.

The role requires learning the routine quickly, reading recipes and procedures, and following safety and sanitation standards. A high school diploma and a food handlers’ certificate are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.
• Basic math and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Operate the dishwasher and monitor water temperatures.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks for meals.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen and maintain floors.
• Carry out trash and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.
• Help with inventory and stock organization as needed.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
