Job summary

Rock Creek Care Center in Auburn, California is seeking a dietary aide to support kitchen and dietary staff. The position reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor and starts at an hourly rate. Hourly Rate starting at $18/HR.

You will learn the food service routine, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, check dishwashing water temperatures, operate the dishwasher and clean the kitchen. This role requires a high school diploma, ability to read procedures and follow recipes, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Ability to work in cooperation with personnel in all departments.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave the kitchen in a clean and sanitary manner and be of assistance when called upon by the cook or dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in the orientation and on-going training of dietary staff.
• Ability to work in cooperation and harmony with personnel in all departments.
