Job summary

Escondido Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Dietary Aide to support food service operations. You will set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain a sanitary kitchen environment under the supervision of the cook and dietary supervisor.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read procedures/recipes, and a food handlers certificate. The role requires standing/walking most of the shift and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn food service routine within a short period.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Observe the water temperatures of dishwasher during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Leave kitchen in a clean and sanitary manner and assist when called upon by cook or dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
