Job summary

Leewood Healthcare Center is seeking dependable Dietary Aides to support meal service and food operations in a healthcare setting. You will ensure meals are served timely, accurate to diet orders, and presented in a clean, respectful manner.

This entry-level role emphasizes teamwork, nutrition, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction. Training is provided, with opportunities to contribute to resident care within all shifts and a supportive leadership environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Prior dietary or food service experience helpful but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and diet guidelines accurately.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and assemble resident meal trays according to diet cards and menus
• Deliver meal trays to nursing units and retrieve trays after meals
• Assist with preparation of food items, snacks, and supplements as directed
• Prepare items for medication passes as scheduled
• Break down trays, operate dishwashing equipment, and properly store items
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and dining spaces
• Assist cooks and food services staff as needed
• Follow infection control, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Respond appropriately to requests from nursing staff and residents
• Adhere to HIPAA and resident confidentiality requirements
