Job summary

Preferred Care at Absecon is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support meal preparation and service for residents. You will assist the Cook, prepare and deliver meals, and help maintain kitchen cleanliness in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates have English proficiency, good time management, and knowledge of nutrition and food safety. Flexible, team-oriented individuals with a positive attitude are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Requires reading, speaking and understanding English.
• Ability to follow meal prep and serving schedules.
• General knowledge of nutrition and food production.
• Knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Ability to read and apply requirements on food tray cards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook in the preparation and service of meals.
• Place prepared food on plates/trays according to tray tickets and policies.
• Prepare and deliver food and trays, wash dishes, and sanitize kitchen areas.
• Maintain a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance and a positive attitude.
• Assist with meal delivery and collection to ensure patient satisfaction.
