Job summary

Preferred Care At Absecon is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, aligned with facility menus. You will ensure safe handling, proper storage, and quality service in a collaborative team environment.

The role requires adherence to food safety standards, attention to detail, and ability to work with residents and staff. Training and growth opportunities are provided in a supportive healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, speak and understand English.
• Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving.
• Knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques, food safety/sanitation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves food including texture modified and therapeutic diets.
• Assists in receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
• Ensures quality food service and adheres to policies and procedures.
• Directs other staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Maintains neat, clean appearance and professional conduct.
