Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and organized to support dietary routines.
• Ability to read and follow recipe directions and diet orders.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks with interruptions.
• Numerical accuracy for recipes and cleaning agents.
• Good motor coordination and manual dexterity.
• Flexibility to work varying hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment.
• Assist the cook in meal preparation and service.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow Federal and State long-term care regulations and Dietary policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Assist in arranging tray cards, loading food carts, and serving meals.
• Set up the dining room and serve residents.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Report supplies and equipment needs through established procedures.
• Report damaged fixtures, flooring or tiling needing repair.
• Report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment.
• Report conditions conducive to pests.
• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies.
• Understand fire and disaster plans and follow drills.
• Follow facility Infection Control policy.
• Ensure residents are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.
• Report grievances to the Dietary Manager.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Able to accept assigned duties and be accountable.
