Job summary

Seasons Care Center Rehab & Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Aide/Dishwasher to join our enthusiastic kitchen and dining room team in Kansas City, Missouri. You will help deliver meals, keep dining areas clean, handle tray cards and therapeutic menus, and support the Cook and Dietary Manager daily.

Responsibilities

• Delivers meals to resident rooms at designated times and sets up dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Maintain clean dining areas and dishes using proper procedures; discard leftovers and empty trash.
• Follow color coding and abbreviations of tray cards and therapeutic menus.
• Assist the Cook and Dietary Manager as directed.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Attend all mandatory in-services, trainings and department meetings.

Dietary Aide/ Dishwasher - Essential Functions:

• Delivers meals to resident rooms at designated times and sets up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
• Maintain a clean dining areas & dishes using appropriate procedures, discard leftovers & empty trash.
• Understand and follow color coding and abbreviations of tray cards and therapeutic menus.
• Assists the Cook and Dietary Manager as directed.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Helps maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Attend all mandatory in-services, educational trainings and department meetings.

Dietary Aide/ Dishwasher - Requirements:

• Friendly with good communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents.
• Ability to read.
• Meet physical demands – stand, sit, walk extended lengths of time, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds
• Food service experience preferred
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines a plus
