Job summary

Complete Care at Arbors in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support meal service for residents in a compassionate, patient-centered environment. You will assist with food preparation under supervision and ensure cleanliness in dining areas, delivering meals on schedule and maintaining inventory and kitchen duties as required.

The ideal candidate has prior dietary aide experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to sanitation and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dietary aide (required).
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Able to operate cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables or dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under supervision of a dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning.
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
