Royalton Place is seeking a Dietary Aide (Dining Services Associate) to ensure a safe, comfortable dining experience for residents. You will prepare dining rooms, assist with meals, and support residents and staff with compassionate service.

The role requires certification in first aid and a food handler or Serve Safe certification, reliable transportation, strong communication, and a positive, professional demeanor. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess current first aid certification and a current food handler’s or serve safe certification.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with residents and families.
• Ability to manage time, stay focused amid interruptions and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room for meals and complete pre-meal procedures.
• Fill resident food requests and transport or deliver service trays.
• Build relationships with residents, families and staff.
• Understand menus, ingredients and tasting notes prior to meal service.
• Ensure cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas, uphold safety standards.
• Work as part of a team to meet management goals.

Job description

As aDietary Aide (Dining Services Associate)with Royalton Place, you’re responsible for creating a safe, comfortable and pleasant dining experience for our residents. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to build life-long relationships serving our residents the nutritious meals that keep them thriving every day.

What we look for in a Dietary Aide (Dining Services Associate):

• Must possess current first aid certification and a current food handler’s or serve safe certification

• Work with the dining room manager to identify dietary needs and develop appropriate dietary plans

• Reliable transportation and dependable when it comes to showing up on time

• Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families

• Demonstrate active listening techniques, gain support by treating others with dignity and respect

• Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner

• Strong customer service skills with ability to problem solve

• Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day

• Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends

What you can expect to do as a Dietary Aide:

• Prepare dining room for all meals, completing the pre-meal procedures

• Fill resident food requests, transport food to dining room or deliver service trays to resident’s units

• Establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff

• Use proper tasting techniques to understand the flavor of all entrees and have knowledge of their ingredients, prior to meal service.

• Demonstrate organizational skills around time management

• Ability to understand menus and answer questions that might arise

• Ensure cleanliness in both kitchen and dining room

• Actively participates as a member of a team and is committed to working toward goals set by management

• Promote the mission, values and beliefs of Cascade Living

Required Certifications:

• Food Workers Card (or Serve Safe Certification preferred)

$16.80 - $18.80/hour
*Depending on Experience
