Job summary

Cascades of Sugarland Ridge is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a team setting. You will work to meet dietary needs, maintain a clean kitchen, and contribute to residents' quality of life through consistent, high-quality meals.

The role requires 2+ years in food service, experience with institutional menus including renal diets, and a reliable, punctual mindset. Weekend availability is expected; compensation ranges from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour.

• Experience working in institutional cooking including mechanical, pureed, finger food and renal diets.
• Reliable transportation and dependable when it comes to showing up on time.
• Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner.
• Quick learner who is able to master working with various types of equipment.

As aCook at Cascades of Sugarland Ridge, you’ll be working in a team environment with new challenges every day. Unlike other cooking positions in hospitality (restaurants, hotels, resorts), in this role you’ll have the opportunity to build life-long relationships serving our residents the nutritious meals that keep them thriving every day.

What we look for in a Cook:

• 2+ years’ experience in nutrition, food preparation, safe food handling techniques and food service management
• Experience working in institutional cooking including mechanical, pureed, finger food and renal diets
