Job summary

Cal Block, LLC in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a Dietary Aide to perform designated work and cleaning routines in the Dietary Department under the Dietary Manager. The role involves assisting the cook, serving meals and following recipes and diet orders, with flexibility for shifts and emergencies.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma (preferred with institutional dietary experience), the ability to read and follow diet orders, and a willingness to perform routine tasks while

Qualifications

• High School graduate and previous institutional dietary service experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards and work assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Flexible hours and ability to work during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
• Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of meals.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary Department Policy and Procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Assist in arranging tray cards, loading food carts and serving meals.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Follow established reporting procedures for supplies and equipment needs.
