Job description

Role Summary

Dietary Aide 1:00pm – 9:00pm at The Manor at Blue Water Bay, a CMS‑rated 5‑star long‑term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
• Serves meals in the health center pantries.
• Sets up tables in the dining room(s) and clears them after meals.
• Transports hot and cold foods and non‑food items to and from pantries.
• Washes silver, glass, china in dish machines as per regulation.
• Provides snacks and supplements per diet orders.
• Maintains stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines.
• Provides health center snacks and supplements per diet orders.
• Answers questions about menu items and ensures orders match physician’s diet orders.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Effective communication and basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders.
• Empathy for the elderly and ability to work cooperatively with residents, guests, families, supervisor and peers.

Salary & Schedule

Base pay range: $15.00/hr – $15.00/hr. 8‑hour shift, part‑time, holiday availability.
