Job summary

Fundamental is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support meal preparation and service for patients and residents. You will assist in serving meals, follow dietary orders, and help ensure safe food handling. This role offers flexible part-time opportunities with a consistent wage of $11.50 per hour.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, be fluent in English, and possess reliable transportation. A food handler’s permit is preferred according to local requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in food prep and service in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility strongly preferred.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and write in fluent English.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and/or service of meals/food for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Dietary Manager.
• Serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient’s/resident's diet order.
• Assist the Cook by ensuring the food prepared and/or pre-portioned uses proper food handling/safety techniques and aligns with the menu and diet orders.
• May wash dishes, etc. when necessary or when instructed to do so by the Dietary Manager.

Salary Range

USD $11.50 – $11.50 / hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and/or service of meals/food for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Dietary Manager.
• Serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient’s/resident's food preferences and diet order.
• Assist the Cook by ensuring the food prepared/and or pre‑portioned using proper food handling/safety techniques and is of proper quantity, completed on time as scheduled, and is in accordance with the menu & resident’s diet order.
• May wash dishes, etc. when necessary or when instructed to do so by the Dietary Manager.

• Must possess, as a minimum, High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
• Food handler’s permit preferred according to local regulatory requirements.
• Experience in food prep and service within a skilled nursing or long term care facility strongly preferred.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and write in fluent English.
• Reliable transportation required.
