Wilson House is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and provide nutritious meals to residents in our senior care setting. You will assist with meal preparation, service, and dining experience while upholding food safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and a genuine compassion for the elderly, with strong teamwork and communication skills to support our dietary staff and residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance during setup and serving to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols for storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food, monitor stock, and notify shortages.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Resident Engagement: fulfil special dietary requests and respect individual preferences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.

Qualifications:
