Job summary

Franciscan Ministries is seeking a Dietary Aide to provide timely, safe, and hospitable dining services to residents and guests. You will deliver meals, set up dining spaces, assist with meal prep, and maintain sanitation throughout the department.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, and ServSafe certification if required. Prior dining services experience is preferred, with emphasis on exceptional customer service and attention to dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, accurate, and efficient service in all dining service venues within the community.
• Deliver and serve meals to residents as needed.
• Ensure dining rooms, trays, and food carts are set up for meal service.
• Assist with meal preparation.
• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Ensure food is served in accordance with company portion control procedure.
• Answer pertinent questions about menu offerings.
• Maintain knowledge of diets provided and ensure proper delivery of those diets in compliance with company policy and procedure.
• Stock and clean kitchenettes and maintain cleanliness of carts and dining room areas.
• Assist in scheduled daily cleaning duties.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
• Assist with dishwashing and restocking of clean dishes as needed.
• Record information on temperature logs (cooking, hot/cold holding, equipment).
• Attend required department/community meetings, trainings, or in-services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and procedures and updates.

Position Requirements

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Licenses/Certifications: ServSafe certification if required

Experience: None required; 1+ years of dining services experience preferred

Min: USD $16.00/Hr. Max: USD $17.50/Hr.
