Job summary

The Pearl at Watkins Centre is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our community dining team. Full-time and part-time shifts available, providing support with meal service to residents and guests.

You will assist with food preparation, plating, and dining room service in accordance with Phoenix Senior Living standards, while maintaining sanitary procedures and safety. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, prior dining/healthcare experience preferred, and willingness to work weekends

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Previous experience in dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and plating for residents and guests.
• Dining and table service in community dining rooms and designated areas.
• Handle foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and regulatory requirements.

Dietary Aide

Purpose

Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aide is responsible for food preparation, plating dishes, dining and table services to residents and guests in the community’s dining rooms and designated areas in accordance with Phoenix Senior Living standards. Responsible for handling all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food service.

• Follow all local, state and federal policies regarding food handling
• Maintains standards of cleanliness, hygiene and health standards
• Prepares all special dietary needs as directed
• Adheres to posted menus and prepares food items using approved Phoenix standardized recipes in a timely manner

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATION

Dietary Aide

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED required
• Previous experience in dining hospitality and / or full service senior living preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Dietary Aide

• Understanding of infection control procedures
• Demonstrate the ability to Multi task and Manage Stress
• Competent in time management / organizational skills
• Understands and embraces the assisted living philosophy
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours, available for our customers at peak service delivery days and times
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
