Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a talented and hard-working Dietary Aide to join our team. You will assist with assembling and checking diet trays, label and date meals, and deliver to nursing units while maintaining a clean kitchen environment.

Experience as a dietary aide is preferred, with a positive attitude and teamwork essential. The position offers $17 per hour and AE/E verify Equal Opportunity Employment.

Qualifications

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required).
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures.
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and check diet trays prior to distribution to ensure meals meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly.
• Deliver food carts to designated areas and collect after meals.
• Work in dish room and wash dishes/utensils.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness; sweep and mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage.

Dietary Aide

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a talented and hard-working Dietary Aide to join our team.

Duties Include:

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs.
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room.
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes/utensils utilizing dish machine.
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units.
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed.
• Carry out garbage

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required)

Salary:$17 an hour
