Job summary

Torrance Post Acute in Torrance, CA is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the kitchen team in preparing and serving meals for residents, while maintaining a clean, safe food service area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food service or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to read and follow menus and recipes.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines, Food Handlers Certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and cooking.
• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary requirements and portion control.
• Follow menus and prepare food items as directed by the Cook or Dietary Manager.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas as assigned on cleaning schedule.
