Job summary

San Bruno Skilled Nursing in San Bruno, CA is seeking a reliable Dietary Aide to join our dietary team. This part-time, on-call role supports meal service operations and helps maintain a clean, safe dining environment for residents.

The schedule offers AM and PM shifts seven days a week with pay at $25.00 per hour; the ideal candidate has a high school diploma and a Food Handler Certificate. Experience in healthcare or food service is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Handler Certificate required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Ability to follow recipes, written instructions, and safety procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Previous healthcare, dietary, food service, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and tray set-up for residents.
• Deliver and serve meals in a courteous and professional manner.
• Collect and properly clean returned meal trays and dishes.
• Operate the dishwasher and maintain proper sanitation standards.
• Monitor and record dishwasher water temperatures and sanitizer/chlorine levels.
• Prepare snacks, nourishments, and beverages as directed.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dietary service areas.
• Store groceries and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Remove trash and maintain a clean, sanitary work environment.
• Follow all food safety, infection control, and dietary department procedures.
• Support cooks and dietary supervisors as needed.
• Work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff across all departments.
