Job summary

Rutland Center for Living and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our culinary services team. You will assist in preparing and serving meals to residents in accordance with prescribed dietary needs and maintain a clean, sanitary dining environment.

You will work closely with the dietary manager and kitchen staff, following menus and safety guidelines while delivering meals with courtesy and respect to elderly residents.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, respectful demeanor toward elderly residents.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Previous healthcare or food service experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and meal service following menus and dietary needs.
• Set up dining areas and deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
• Wash dishes and keep kitchen and dining areas clean.

As a Dietary Aide, you will assist in preparing and serving meals to residents in accordance with prescribed dietary needs, and help maintain a clean and sanitary dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in food preparation and meal service following menus, dietary restrictions, and portion control guidelines
• Set up dining areas and deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment; maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures as per state and federal guidelines
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
• Support the dietary manager and kitchen staff in daily operations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare or food service setting is a plus
