Job summary

HumanGood in Redlands, CA is seeking a Diet Aide to set up, clear and reset dining areas and to take menu orders, serving meals to residents and guests with timely, gracious service.

The role offers per-diem scheduling (5:30am-1:30pm; 6:00am-2:00pm; 3:00pm-7:00pm) with hourly compensation ranging from $19.58 to $20.05, depending on experience. Prior food-service and senior-care exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience as Diet Aide required.
• Experience in food industry and with seniors preferred.
• Food Handlers Certification or enrollment in certification course preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work on a tray line.
• Serving food to residents, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
• Provides food and tray delivery to the assisted living and/or skilled care center residents.
• Sets up and cleans dining room.
• Maintains or exceeds hospitality and service standards.
• Assures timely meal delivery and plate preparation.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Would Have

• Minimum of 6 months of experience as Diet Aide required.
• Experience in food industry and with seniors preferred.

If you are interested in Dietetics or Dietary Management, this is a great opportunity to learn how to navigate therapeutic and texture-modified diets and serve food accordingly. Work under a RD/CDM. Learn and practice local/federal regulatory requirements regarding food safety and sanitation, nutrition, etc.
