Job summary

The Creston Senior Living in Portland, Oregon is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents with meals and service in the dining areas. You will assist with meal preparation, delivery, and sanitation under supervision, contributing to a warm, safe dining experience.

Ideal candidates have prior dietary aide experience, strong customer service, and knowledge of food safety. This role requires physical stamina and reliability for a Wednesday-Sunday shift, 4:00pm–7:00pm.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as dietary aide or similar role.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to prepare and serve meals following instructions.
• Friendly, with strong communication qualities.
• Physically capable in a fast-paced kitchen.
• High school diploma or equivalent; food service certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining areas and maintain cleanliness.
• Prepare meals under guidance of a dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays to rooms on time.
• Assist in post-meal cleanup and plate collection.
• Maintain hygiene and dispose of leftovers.
• Keep stations clean and wash dishes.
• Monitor stock levels and inventory.
• Contribute to upkeep of kitchen equipment.
