Job summary

SUN MAR HEALTH CARE is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide for Cottage Crest Post-Acute in California. The role offers a flexible schedule with weekend availability and a starting pay of $16+ per hour, depending on experience.

Open to candidates with skilled nursing facility experience. Responsibilities include following department procedures, labeling and dating food, ensuring proper food handling, and assisting with tray assembly and service within scheduled times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1-3 months related experience or training.
• Knowledge of special diets is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows department procedures and storage of all dishes, utensils and cooking equipment.
• Ensures all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage are labeled and dated.
• Oversees proper food handling and utilization of all foods to prevent contamination, increase quality and reduce cost.
• Suggests menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and other supplies.
• Cleans all food service equipment, kitchen and food storage areas.
• Maintains the proper temperature of food during preparation and service. Records food temperatures according to established policy.
• Assists with the setup of the tray line. Assembles trays according to the planned menu and tray tickets, stated portion, resident food preferences, and diet order and within the established time schedules.
• Assists in checking trays during service for accuracy.
